Navigon Financial Group was founded in 1912 in Greensboro, NC. We have overcome significant changes in the past years and have grown consistently to be one of Penn Mutual’s most successful agencies. As only the fourth Managing Partner of Navigon Financial Group (previously Baron Financial Group) in the last 100 years, I believe our success has come from our continual focus on always doing the right thing for our clients and the producers with Navigon. By doing so, we enable them to always do the right thing for their clients. Through their success, we too are successful. This focus has worked well for Navigon these past 100 years. However, while being “success makers” is important, it is not all there is. We have an opportunity to do more. I believe Navigon must continue to be more than just a place to work. I see Navigon representing a place where the experience of creating a life of significance occurs for everyone; a place where producers grow beyond just success. This means we must create and expand a sphere in which producers significantly impact the lives they touch by serving their values and utilizing the strengths, knowledge, and experiences they have gained in their lives to do so. It also means creating an environment in which producers know and feel what Colossians 3: 23-24 tells us:
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
I see Navigon Financial being recognized as the place where producers grow from success to significance starting within the cities we currently operate, then within the states we operate and eventually being recognized as the leading agency industry-wide. I believe we can become a $5 million dollar agency in 5 years if we focus on this.
