Preservation Years
Living our Dreams and Plans
Our family is grown and on their own now. We have spent the majority of our lives caring for them. They have been the focus and center of our world. With this change comes a rush of emotions and a need to redirect and rediscover our lives. The next few years will be a time of realignment and turning our attention to the not too distant prospect of retirement. We struggle with what we want our legacy to be.
With all of the twists and turns life throws at you, we have not made the financial progress we originally planned. We have been reacting to life’s events rather than preparing for the future. We tried to make the best decisions we could at each step. We tried to make informed decisions. It always seemed that we would have plenty of time later. Now we need to focus on our future and preparing for retirement.
Although we are entering our top income years, we don’t have that many left. The money we accumulate has so little time to experience the power of compounding. What are suitable investments for this stage in our lives? How do we sort through all the conflicting advice? How can we know if we have enough assets? Are there better ways to position our money for the future? We want someone to educate - not tell us, and to walk along beside us as we navigate this next phase in this adventure called life.
